AFTER ALL and the space to face the end
AFTER ALL is a solo work by Solène Weinachter that brings together dance, theatre, storytelling and humour to approach the question of death. Rather than treating it as an abstract or distant theme, the performance creates a shared space where vulnerability and courage coexist, inviting audiences to reflect on how we relate to loss and the end of life.
Drawing from research into funeral practices, personal encounters and collective conversations, the piece moves between lived experience and imagination. It explores the body as a place of memory and transformation, where gestures, voice and presence open a dialogue between the living and what remains. Through this approach, AFTER ALL proposes a way to stay with difficult questions, not through resolution, but through attention and shared experience.
Extending beyond the stage, the project includes conversations, workshops and formats such as Beyond AFTER ALL, creating informal spaces where audiences can gather and speak openly about death. By combining performance and engagement, the work fosters connection across generations and contexts, while contributing to a broader cultural dialogue on a subject often left unspoken.
