Cow Love and the pleasure of imperfection

Cow Love is a performance created and performed by Nanda Suc and Federico Robledo, produced by Société Protectrice de Petites Idées. Blending dance, acting, absurd theatre, music, circus and handcrafted special effects, the piece develops a singular stage language where physical presence and visual imagination meet. It brings together elements that do not naturally belong together, creating a world that is both playful and unsettling.

The project emerged in July 2012 in a small garage in Argentina, through a spontaneous and experimental process. Working under physical constraints, the artists began by collecting fragments, gestures and ideas without a predefined goal. This approach became the foundation of the piece, where each element is treated as material and where structure grows out of accumulation, repetition and transformation.

Balancing humor, absurdity and a sense of instability, Cow Love unfolds as a shifting landscape of images and situations. It juxtaposes everyday references with exaggerated forms, moving between attraction and discomfort, precision and failure. By embracing imperfection as a creative force, the performance explores the fragile and often contradictory nature of human relationships, opening a space where irony and vulnerability coexist.
