Budapest Aerial Meeting 2025: Residency, Workshops, and Regional Connection
This August, Budapest becomes a hub for aerial arts and international circus exchange through the Budapest Aerial Meeting 2025 and a dedicated artist residency supported by Teatroskop.
From August 25–28, aerial artists Silvana Sanchirico and Antonio Arbués (represented by French organization Regarts) will develop their work during a residency hosted by Inspiral Circus Centre in Budapest. The residency includes a final presentation for the local circus community and serves as a prelude to the Budapest Aerial Meeting (BAM), held from August 29–31.
BAM is an annual gathering that brings together 30 aerial and circus practitioners from Hungary and beyond for a three-day weekend of intensive workshops, shared learning, and performance. The event opens on August 29 with the showcase of a work-in-progress or completed piece by Silvana and Antonio, together with performances by Hungarian artists and BAM instructors. This public-facing event offers a rare opportunity to experience cutting-edge aerial work and build connections across circus communities. During BAM, Silvana and Antonio will teach Hand Balance and Aerial Tissu, alongside Hungarian and international instructors offering workshops in various aerial disciplines.
By hosting both the residency and meeting, Hungary’s aerial scene not only grows stronger locally, but forges new pathways of collaboration across Europe.
