L’Odyssée, a continuous performance in urban space

Odyssée is a long-term performance in which artists inhabit the sidewalk with their furnitures. They live and welcome residents into this open environment that is the street. The performance never stops, and the artists become neighbors for a time.

Odyssée questions our relationship with reality, with the street, with sharing. The performance has taken place in several cities around the world for over 10 years and is being staged for the first time in South-Eastern Europe!

Laurent Boijeot is an artist, performer, author, and sociologist specializing in deviant practices in urban environments. Over the past thirteen years, more than seventy artistic actions have been carried out, involving human interaction, encounters, dialogue, and sharing. They question the notion of shared space, spectacle, emotion, and collective memory co-created with residents, as well as long-term performance.
