EX-POSE(S) Expanded, Regional Tour in Southeast Europe

The project EX-POSE(S) Expanded, initiated by VIADANSE, is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen cultural cooperation between France and Southeast Europe. In partnership with Derida Dance Center, Workshop Foundation, Spanski Borci, the Hungarian National Gallery, the National Dance Theatre of Budapest, and the French Institutes in Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Paris, the program supports the creation, transmission, and dissemination of contemporary dance across the region.

Residencies at VIADANSE

The first phase of the project has taken place from 6th to 10th of October 2025 at VIADANSE – National Choreographic Centre of Bourgogne Franche-Comté in Belfort, France. Two emerging choreographers, Daniel Denev (Bulgaria) and Vivien Piti (Hungary), have each developed a solo project. This residency provides a space for research and experimentation around the body, movement, and spatial relationships, under the artistic guidance of Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux.

Regional tour and workshops

The second phase of the project runs from 31 October to 8 November 2025, featuring a regional tour of EX-POSE(S) in Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Hungary. Choreographers Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux are also leading dance workshops for professional, pre-professional, and student dancers, continuing their exploration of transmission and the recreation of choreographic movement.

A creation rooted in transmission and exchange

Driven by a desire to foster dialogue between artistic styles and generations, EX-POSE(S) Expanded is based on the transmission and reinterpretation of the duo Fattoumi–Lamoureux’s work. Rather than reproducing the original piece, local artists are invited to explore its creative process and bring their own interpretation to it. Presented in museums, art centers, and public spaces, the piece reaches a wide audience, including young spectators aged 8 and above.
